The Archives of Bone and Joint Surgery provides free publication for submissions that meet all ABJS editorial requirements (as specified in the Guide for Authors section). Starting in 2025, each submission will undergo a thorough primary screening; if it does not satisfy all requirements, including structural and grammatical standards, the author(s) commit to paying for PAES (Preferred Article Editing Services) and PLES (Professional Language Editing Services) after the peer review process and before final acceptance and publication.
