Abstract

The most common painful pop around the elbow, is a distal biceps tendon rupture. Thorough history and physical exam, combined with imaging, lead to a correct diagnosis. We present an uncommon cause of a painful pop around the elbow in a 33-year old woman, which would have led to unnecessary surgery without the imaging as performed.
