Abstract
This letter raises concerns regarding the novelty and significance of the 2025 study by Basralian et al.1 published in Archives of Bone and Joint Surgery due to considerable overlap with a previously published 2024 study by Kilkenny et al.2 in Journal of Orthopaedics. Both works share notable overlap in study scope, design, methodology, results presentation, and conclusions. While certain differences exist, the degree of similarity raises questions about the originality and added value of the Basralian et al.1 study to the existing literature. We respectfully request the authors provide clarification on the unique contributions of their manuscript.
